Sophz456: A Pound of Flesh by jaxon22

Author's Summary: To pay a debt she owes her father, Isabella Swan starts a new job as a prison tutor. Edward Cullen, with his own debts, is the Punk Ass inmate in her class. Can they fight the odds and their dangerous attaction to learn from each other? A/H, Lemons, OOC.

Why Sophz456 loves it:

First off, I apologise for this rambly review, but I'm tired and excited over this fic's update, so *shrugs*.

A Pound of Flesh is one of those fics that draws you in from the get go with an amazing opening which leaves you stunned, horrified, yet somehow intruiged, then sends you on a whirlwind of drama, romance, and slight comedy with a pinch of angst thrown in (because, hell, who doesn't like some angst?) - and I fucking love it.

The opening of the fic left me staring at the screen in shock, and I couldn't help but press that next chapter button just to see what happened next. What I loved the most about that next chapter was that it didn't focus on just the angst and heartbreak of that event - you're introduced to a completely new environment and focal character straight away. And let me tell you, PunkAssWard, the cool, snarky inmate we meet in that chapter? Fucking hot as hell.

But I'll let you discover why and how PAW is so hot for yourselves - I may *thud* otherwise.

Anyway, another thing I like about this fic is the fact you actually get character growth straight away and somehow immediately feel like you know the now 23 year old Bella that we meet later that chapter, even though we last saw her when she was nine, witnessing a tragic event.

The entire thing is in third person, yet it somehow still seems personal, which is very rare in fics like these. Instead of taking away from the story, it actually adds to it because you know what BOTH of them are thinking without the bore of reading the same chapter twice from 2 POVS, and I absolutely love it.

PAW is a punkass, fair and square, and from the moment he and Bella meet, there's tension between them, and you get the distinct impression they've met somewhere before... And you soon find out that's because they have; they just don't recognise each other.

I seriously love this fic - it's creative, interesting, tense, funny, and completely different to other prison fics out there; it's not all in one place, for a start. I wish I had the words to do it justice, but since I don't, I'm just going to tell you to read and enjoy it for yourselves :)

Sophy xoxo

Bbebar: If On a Winter's Night by Touchstone67

Author's Summary: One fateful, winter's night, Edward and Jasper's lives are turned upside down. Is their relationship strong enough to withstand the aftermath, or will they be driven apart forever? Rated M for sexual situations, language. AH J/E slash

Why Bbebar loves it:

I'm going to be honest. This is probably the hardest rec I've had to write yet. I've started and restarted this multiple times and finally came to the conclusion that nothing I write here will even come close to explaining all the things I love about this fic.

In addition, I really don't want to detail what happens in this story like I normally would. I want you to read it and experience it yourself. Somehow, I feel like writing down certain plot elements will not only cheapen the story, but will take away from your own journey while reading.

I will tell you this. Technically, this is a slash fic and a unique love story between Edward and Jasper, who are both high school students. However, it's so much more than that. The important thing isn't that it's about two boys who are in love; the important thing is that it's about two people who are everything to each other. If you don't consider yourself a slash reader, read this. This story will transcend any pre-conceived notions you may have.

I will also tell you, as will Touchstone67 in multiple warnings, that IoaWN is quite angsty. But it's also emotional, beautiful, heartbreaking, heartwarming, and so very special. It will take you on a rollercoaster of emotions, and you will be changed and better for it.

I have thanked Touchstone67 for being brave enough to write this story. I am not exagerating when I say that only had 2 or 3 other fics have had this impact on me. Her writing is simply gorgeous. What the characters feel, you will feel.

As I write this, IoaWN has seven chapters. I read them straight through because I literally could not stop. I won't lie and tell you it's always easy to read. I cried in every single chapter. Apparently, I'm not the only one. Touchstone67 has a running list of places not to read her story. I suggested not reading around your children. My daughter walked in on me while I was reading and thought I'd been hurt. In a way she was right; my heart was hurting.

Long after you stop reading, Edward and Jasper will stay with you. Their love, pain, and bravery will be something you keep thinking about. And even though they are fictional charaters, they will inspire you.

So, right about now, I'm struggling not to erase everything I've just written and try again. But I won't because the result would be the same. I'd still try my best to explain how truly amazing this story is, and I would still fail miserably. So instead, just trust me this one time. Grab a box of Kleenex, click on that link up there, and start reading. I'll see you at the end of chapter seven.

Hayboo05: Men Without Eyes by danieller123

Author's Summary: Bitterness meets a happy table. A new neighbor. A broken man. Reach out and touch faith. BxE AH/AU Disabledward.

Why hayboo05 loves it:

When I got an alert in my email saying that Dani had written another story, following Under The Apple Tree, I was so excited. The summary of the new story, Men Without Eyes, was vague but I knew it was going to be amazing.

From there first chapter, you gather Edward is not going to be a fluffy or happy kind of guy. He's been confined to a wheelchair after an accident a few years back. He's brooding, bitter, and not happy if someone else is. He lives with his brother Emmett who helps Edward with things he can no longer do on his own.

Bella and her daughter Ginny move in across the street and Emmett instantly befriends them. Edward tries his hardest to stay distant, but over time he finds himself 'Bella watching' out of the window. Not in a pervy way but in a curious way.

I love how Dani progresses the story at a realistic pace and doesn't have Edward falling all over himself to love Bella. To me that just makes you want to keep reading to see if they do care about each other in that way.

Bella's technically a single parent and the reason that is was something I didn't see coming, and for once, I didn't hate James.

I think it's great how Edward interacts with Ginny, Bella's daughter. She won't let Edward be a jerk to her and he finds, he doesn't want to be.

Edward is crass through the available chapters, sugar coating almost nothing and at times I found myself literally calling him an ass but that's just who he is right now. It makes you wonder if he's going to be this hard the whole story if he's going to soften a bit with Bella and Ginny's influence.

In the last chapter that posted, things heated up between Edward and Bella. I can't wait to find out if it's because of real feelings or the wine they had during dinner.

If you've ever read a fic that Dani's written, you know how amazing she is with words. She can say in five words what it would take someone else to say in an entire paragraph. Men Without Eyes is very much like that. She is an artist and her stories are her works of art.

Author Interview: Suzie55 by JMC

When I came upon Welcome To Paradise, written by the lovely Suzie55, it was only three chapters in; it's now up to fourteen. From the very first chapter, I was instantly hooked. I wondered then why I hadn't read anything of hers previously.

After reading those three chapters of Welcome To Paradise, I discovered Suzie55 on twitter. From the first moment we spoke, she was completely gracious, always replying back. I knew after talking with her more and becoming even more invested in Welcome To Paradise as the story progressed, I had to interview her. So I did. Here's the interview, so I hope you enjoy. Once again, I'd like to thank Suzie55 for allowing me to interview her.

1. How did you come to learn about Fanfiction? What made you decide to try your hand at writing it?

I read the Saga and was hooked on the books and a certain young British actor. So, I did what any girl with a new obsession does, I googled info about the movie and the actors. I eventually came across KSTEW411 and saw her talking about this story she was reading and loved. It was Master of the Universe. I googled that and voila - I discovered fanfiction. I read stories on her rec list for about 3 months before I decided to write my own. I had been writing novels (unpublished) since July 2009 after being inspired by the Saga and ready to create again. I had a new story in mind and decided I would like the feedback and it was a great way to better my skills.

2. Have you read all the Twilight books? If so, which book is your favorite and why? Which is your least favorite and why?

Yes, I've read all the books. Isn't that a requirement to write Saga fanfiction? lol. My favorite is Midnight Sun because I think it shows how truly charming and funny Edward really is. I think the books, since they're from Bella's POV, really show him as a one dimensional character sometimes making me wonder what the attraction is. But, out of published books - the first book is my favorite because it captures all the magic of first true love. My least favorite is Breaking Dawn because even though it's a beast of a book, it has so many holes in it. It's like Meyer wasn't allowed to really go where she wanted to go with the story at some points.

3. Before writing Welcome To Paradise, did you write any other stories? If so, how do you feel they differ from WTP? Which one has been your favorite to write?

The Rules of Hollywood is my first story for fanfiction. Actorward and Brown Eyes are my main characters in that one. Actorward is total swoon in my eyes. It's love at first site for him when he meets Brown Eyes and his love never falters.

In Welcome to Paradise, Surferward...at least in the beginning not only falters, he flat out rejects his feelings for Bella. He's fighting them most of the way. He gets himself in situations that he thinks will help him move past these foreign feelings because he hasn't felt that for a girl before. Those feelings scare him and he doesn't know how to handle them. Thus, enter the angst...hehe.

Cop out answer here: They are so different from each other. RofH was easy for me to write and I wrote it quickly. I felt so a part of the characters that the words were natural and flowed. WtP is complicated and the characters always seem to take the less traveled road to get to their destination. The line that was also used in the blinkie is very true for them: I never quite know my journey's end until I arrive.

RofH is all about the destination. WtP is all about the journey.

4. What inspired you to write Welcome To Paradise?

Two things: I love surfing. I used to get Surfer magazine when I was 13 just to ogle the boys and dream of being a surfer girl. I eventually went to the Surf Diva camp in San Diego as a 'grown up' to pursue it a little more. Btw - I don't live near the beach. I love Hawaii and have attempted surfing there...I stood up...once. lol

Then, there is this certain picture of Rob in a white button up and jeans carrying his shoes in his hand and holding a cigarette. I call it Walk of Shame Rob on twitter. If you follow me, you've probably seen this pic many times. That picture kind of solidified this idea because I had found my bad boy lead. Surferward would sleep with women and not be ashamed. That's his MO. That's how it started at least...

5. When deciding a plot to write about, does it just come to you, or do you do some kind of researching to aid in plot development?

I'll admit, not much research has gone into this story. I like to be accurate when it comes to little things like Hawaii, the beach names, and throwing in a few touristy spots that I've visited. But, this story is a relationship story between lovers, friends, and family. Research wouldn't help me build those dynamics, the characters do.

I will say that I didn't give Edward a Vanquish because they stopped making them in 2007. So, he drives a Vantage which is the newer model. Not important and confusing to some readers like I've made a mistake, but I like that it's correct for 2010.

6. Out of the entire Twilight saga, who is your favorite character and why?

Edward. I love the the Saga, but I sometimes find Bella kind of boring and the wolves just aren't my thing. Edward is truly going through a crisis - internally and externally. He's fighting the ultimate battle - does he take what he wants or protect what he needs...something like that.

7. What are some hobbies you like to do besides writing?

I seriously don't have time for other hobbies right now, but if I did, I like to play tennis, plan events, I used to paint a lot, but writing isn't my hobby, it's my passion. I was writing before fanfiction and I'll write after this trend has past. But, I'll enjoy the fanfiction ride while it lasts.

8. Do you feel while writing your story that the characters speak to you, like they sometimes take over to the point the chapter is altered from what you initially planned?

The characters are a part of me. They don't speak to me. I just know them so well that their actions, thoughts, etc...just come naturally and in my mind are in character for them. When Bella is upset, my heart hurts. When Surferward is mad, I feel his anger for him. It's sometimes not so beneficial to be this close to them, but on the upside...the smexy times are good. Just sayin'...

I free flow write which in my mind means I have a basis of where the story is heading, but no outline. I know the beginning, major plot points, and the ending. From there, it's getting the characters to connect the dots which usually isn't too much of a problem. But, sometimes, I do get lost in the details or all the sudden they demand a pineapple (aka lemon) from me. I kind of roll my eyes at them, but Surferward is hard to resist so he usually gets what he wants. *chuckles*

9. Overall, how has your experience been writing Welcome To Paradise? Anything you'd want to change?

I love writing this story. I originally thought it was going to be a quick summer fic that would end in September, but over the course of developing these characters, I've come to realize they deserve the rest of their story to be told. So, here I am with an opportunity to really dig deeper into their story which is exciting to me.

10. In reading or writing, do you have a specific genre you prefer? What I mean is, angst, drama, romance, etc?

I'm cheesy, but I like Chick Lit a lot - reading and writing. I'm a sucker for a good romance though I've never read a romance novel. I kind categorize a lot of the fics I read as romance novel material though and I love them. I'm kind of open to how the romance happens, dramatically, quietly, angsty...so I'm open to all kinds of stories. Writing...I think RofH is romantic with a little humor. WtP is a drama with angst.

11. Once Welcome To Paradise is finished, do you have plans to write another fic? If so, do you already have ideas as to what it will be about?

Yes, absolutely! I LOVE this form of expression and the fandom community. I've had an idea for almost two months now. I have a title which is usually the last thing I come up with, ironically, and the very basics of a storyline. I've made myself wait until I get further down the storyline with WtP before attempting a chapter one with it though. And, who knows, I might change my mind and go with a completely different idea.

I wrote a one-shot for Fandom For Preemies that was really different for me to write, but it was fun. It actually did take a little research. It won't be my next full length fic, but I got to challenge myself and try something out of my comfort zone.

12. As a writer, putting our work out there means you're willing to accept criticism for it. That also means you're bound to get some bad reviews. How do you handle such a review? What advice would you give fellow authors who receive a bad review?

I believe the more dramatic or controversial fic you write the more criticism you'll receive. Just my opinion though. On that note, I've been lucky in the sense that readers are very kind to me. If they are confused, they ask me to clarify. If they are upset by the chapter, they usually tell me that they are mad at the character and then list what they liked in the chapter too. As I've said, very lucky author here. I think the people who've disliked my story haven't bothered reviewing and I'm kind of fine with that. lol.

13. Who is your favorite character to write and why?

Edward. I love to write Edward because you do anything you want with him and it can be acceptable. Bella not so much. People have very strong opinions of how Bella should be or act.

My Edwards also swear a lot (I don't in real life) so I get to use all the good curse words when I'm writing EPOV. He thinks them and says them. He's fun to write.

These questions were submitted by readers.

1. What's your favorite holiday? (via johnnyboy1029)

Christmas because I've finally reached a point where it's not about the presents, but about the magical feeling that surrounds that holiday.

2. What's one thing that scares you? (via johnnyboy1029)

Snakes. Always snakes!

3. If you could spend a day with anyone, living or dead, who would it be and why? (via johnnyboy1029)

Jane Austen because I would love to see how she wrote such amazingly descriptive and emotional stories about all the classes of society yet lived so simply.

4. What color is your comforter? (via johnnyboy1029)

*giggles* Brown with some kind of cream colored design going through it. It's pretty, but fits nicely into a home with a man in it too. (my hubs likes it)

5. Who do you prefer more, Edward or Jacob? (via THMasen)

Edward.

6. I want to know how you come up with the lemons? Is there a lemon creator app out there I dont know about? (via Jendill1)

I wish there was an app and if you find one, linky me please - haha.

I write a lot of lemons in my stories and it's hard to be creative or make it different everytime. I don't set out to write one. The story usually demands one so I see where the characters are at the time and work with that situation. Ex. Against the house in chapter 11. They were there and Surferward and Bella demanded some make-up smexins. Their emotions took over so the side of the house seemed like the obvious place to hook them up. It beat the dirt path in my opinion.

I'm also a very visual person when I write so I tend to write every little detail because I see it that way in my head.

When writing a lemon just let yourself go to the point where you're comfortable or what you like to read. Good old perviness helps too.

Thank you so much, JMC.

JMC: Welcome to Paradise by Suzie55

Author's Summary: During a summer long stay in Hawaii, Bella meets Edward, letting her inhibitions go. With other options on the horizon, she eventually has to decide between her heart's desires and her head's logic. Lemons Angst Canon Lemons Happy Reading.

Why JMC loves it:

Surferward, anyone? ;)

There are so many things to love about this story. You get drama, lemons, UST, humor, sweetness, and did I mention Surferward?

To keep from being too spoilery, I'll give just a little of WTP's history. Bella goes to Hawaii for the summer to visit her best friend Alice. She immediately meets Edward at the airport after she's arrived. He's cocky and sexy, which let's face it, those two combined happen to be downfalls for a lot of women.

They end up sharing a very steamy night, and then things really get interesting. Getting in a relationship while on vacation was not in the plans for Bella, and Edward, he's quite the womanizer, so he wasn't looking for a relationship regardless, but even though these two tend to get in each other's way where the other is concerned, the attraction builds.

Feelings begin to develop, and fighting those feelings... well, we know how that usually goes for Bella and Edward.

I heard about this story through twitter, and the second I saw the mention of Suferward, I was intrigued. I read the summary, and the whole idea seemed unique to me, so I gave it a shot. I'd certainly never read anything like it before. I mean, we have all these 'wards' out there, but I'd never come across a Surferward before.

I can't express enough how glad I am for clicking that link. Not only has Suzie55 given us a unique story, but her writing is outstanding. It's fluid, and it grabs your attention immediately.

The way she writes the scenery is so picturesque, I actually feel as though I'm there with the characters. You can see it so clearly in your head. And the way she describes the characters emotions and thoughts, it's so in depth. You instantly form a connection to them because they feel real to you. Her writing is that good.

What started off as an interest in learnging about Surferward became so much more. The story itself is the gold, Surferward is just a bonus. Trust me, this fic is one you'll definitely want to read.

Hayboo05: WantNoMore by Savage7289

Author's Summary: Bella's new job takes an unexpected turn when terrorists take over her office building. Bella is taken hostage, but the sexy head henchman seems to be exactly what Bella wants and needs. BPOV.

Why hayboo05 loves it:

Want No More is a one-shot. An amazing one-shot.

Bella hates being asked to choose. She wishes someone would just make decisions for her. She's lucky enough to have Edward be that someone.

Working as Aro's personal assistant, Bella finds herself doing mundane things such as data entry, making copies, and keeping track of Aro's passwords to some very private folders.

When the fire alarm goes off, Bella ignores it, thinking it's only a drill. She soon learns that the 'danger' in fact real. Enter Jasper, Felix, and Edward. Criminals at large, if you will. They have evacuated the building so they could find some very important files. That just happen to be on Aro's computer. The one that Bella knows all the passwords to.

Edward isn't like any other guy Bella's met. He tells her what she's going to do and she likes it. She complies to his demands with almost no second thoughts.

After getting the information he needs, Edward realizes he needs a little something extra...and after an extremely HOT encounter, Bella makes a decision-one she doesn't resent having to make- she decides she wants to go with Edward.

"I'll make it all worth your while," he whispered low in my ear. "I'm going to cover you in diamonds during the day and fuck you senseless during the night."

"I'm not so sure about diamonds," I said, moaning as his mouth as it covered my earlobe and sucked on it. "But the last part sounds like exactly what I want."

I felt Edward's stomach muscles tense as he slowly entered me again. He breathed his words, hot and wet, into my ear.

"Want no more."

Honestly, this one-shot owned me and once you read it, you'll want more. Much, much more. Savage's writing is amazing and if you only read one of her stories (which would be a mistake on your part...read them all!) it should definately be this one.

xo.

Bbebar: Getting Away With Murder by iAMurPoison

Author's Summary: Bella is a paid assassin traveling down a long road paved with regrets and disappointment. One day she runs into Edward Cullen and her life changes forever. What will happen if Edward finds out Bella's dirty secret? AU. AH. OOC.

Why Bbebar loves it:

To put it simply, I love GAWM because I have yet to read another fic like it. I saw iAMurPoison on twitter mention that she was writing a new story. All I recall of her answer, after asking what it was about, is her mention of a badass Bella. Frankly, that was enough for me because let's face it, you're a lot more likely to find a badass Edward in fanfiction.

Bella in GAWM is a paid assassin. That's right; she gets paid to kill people. (I told she was badass.) The story begins with Bella on her regular morning coffee run. On this day, she is more distracted than usual due to an upcoming job, and she literally runs right into someone. Looking up, she sees a man so gorgeous that she is completely affected by him. So much so, that she continues to be distracted at work. Even her partner Rose notices that something is off.

However, Bella has a job to prepare for and must fly out of town that evening. iAMurPoison's description of Bella in her element is all kinds of win. It reminds me of a cross between Alias and Mr. and Mrs. Smith. Not only is Bella a badass, but she's good at what she does. The people she is hired to kill are criminals. There is no sympathy for the victims here.

Edward is a business man who works at Cullen Investments. After running into Bella at the coffee shop, he continues to be distracted as well. In fact, he plans to return the next morning at the same time in hopes of running into her again. After a day at the office, Edward heads out to a club with his brother Emmett. Emmett soon hooks up with a woman, so Edward is left to entertain her friend, Jessica. He takes her back to her place, and the sex scene that follows is when I decided that this Edward is Cockyward. He not only acts as if he's doing Jessica a favor by letting her be fucked by him, he also fantasizes about Bella the entire time.

Eventually, Edward and Bella do meet again. Their attraction to each other is obvious. However, due to Bella's line of work, she does not allow herself to date. Edward keeps asking, and she keeps turning him down. She very much wants to be with him but doesn't see how it could possibly work.

This story has it all if you ask me. It's sexy, funny, and uniquely intriguing. I am loving Cockyward's and Assassinella's interactions. Their chemistry is off the charts, and I have a feeling it's only going to get stronger. My head is filled with so many possibilites as to where iAMurPoison will take this story. All I know for sure is that I'm in for one hell of an exciting ride.

Hayboo05: Fuggiasco by kdc2239

Official Summary: Edward, homeless since age twelve is used to the gritty, hard life. Now twenty, his main goal is to make it in the world, and off the streets. What happens when a girl who seems to be broken beyond repair becomes his new shadow?.

Why hayboo05 loves it:

Why do I love this story? Hmm...well it's amazing for one. It's written so well and kdc does a great job of grabbing your attention from the very beginning.

The story starts out with a homeless Edward. He isn't always homeless but has been on and off since he was twelve. He doesn't give a lot of clues as to his life when he was little at the beginning but he does tell us about his past as the story progresses.

One night as he's sleeping on a bench, he meets Bella. She's dirty and bruised. Edward saves her from being attacked by two guys and thus gaining a shadow. It's a lot for Edward to get used to because he's always been on his own. At least since he started his life on the streets. He can't figure out why he doesn't just tell Bella to leave. He wants to take care of her and that's another alien feeling. He's never cared about a girl the way he cares about Bella.

Over the course of the available chapters, you learn why Bella is so broken. It really is a sad story and you feel awful for Bella. You definately understand why she's so scared and timid all the time.

Throughout this fic, you see both Edward and Bella gain strength from each other and over come some of their fears. One thing to mention...Edward and Bella aren't homeless the whole story but you see that can change at any moment and Edward is very aware of that. You read of the struggles of living on the streets and the ways the two of them try very hard to make sure they don't end up back on them.

Right now, Edward and Bella are in Forks facing Bella's past and I'm so anxious to see where it goes and how they both handle it not being just the two of them.

I personally can't get enough of this story! It's so well written, it's written with feeling, and the characters are ones that you want to get better and be happy.

Kdc is an amazing writer and I hope ya check out her story. You'll be doing yourself a favor!

Bbebar: Barely Breathing by jarkin33

Author's Summary: A love taken for granted, we don't always realize what we have until it's gone. "They say bad things happen for a reason and I'd like to believe that's true." A story about realizing what's important. Edward & Bella AH.

Why Bbebar loves it:

I've got to be honest. This story had me at Jaime. When I found out she had written her first fic, I knew right away that I would check it out. Jaime is amazing and has been nothing but great to me.

However, even the way I feel about her wouldn't have kept me reading a fic that wasn't worth my time. And believe me when I say this; Barely Breathing is well worth your time.

Barely Breathing is a short story consisting of only six chapters. I think of it as a snapshot into the lives of Edward and Bella during one moment in time. One of the things I like about this story is Edward and Bella are together when it begins. In fact, they have been for the past five years. We learn that Edward has become somewhat of a workaholic and consequently has been taking Bella for granted. Bella, in an attempt to get their relationship back on track, has planned a romantic evening. Unfortunately, Edward cancels their plans yet again.

This is the straw that breaks the camel's back, and Bella tells Edward they can no longer go on like this. She leaves him, and they are both devastated. The following chapters give you a glimpse into their time apart as well as how they find their way back together. Let's just say that Bella leaving was the wakeup call that Edward needed. Let's also just say there may or may not be hot, sexy, UNFable makeup sex involved (and it may or may not be all kinds of WIN!)

Another reason I love this fic so much is that there is such a sweet honesty about it. It is pure and heartfelt, and that is a credit to Jaime's writing and characters. Please go show this story some love. Then, do what I did...beg her to expand it so that we get the before and after, because this is one story you will want more of.

pjanthony4: Imperador by Mariamaral

Author's Summary: Edward is a famous porn star that works at Carlisle and Charlie's movie company with his friends Emmet and Jasper. What will happen when Charlie decides that it's time for his little girl to run the family business. Cannon couples/OOC/AH. LEMONS.

Why pjanthony4 loves it:

I found it a couple of days ago from a Twitter rec, read an enormous amount of FF (shameful but true), and this has truly owned me since I started it! I'm recommending it because in addition to the hot steaminess of this story...and it is so that!...it is a fabulous relationship that develops between Edward and Bella, dealing with his broken past, her inexperience, and a crazy stalker who is threatening her.

For me Edward can be many things: a hockey player, a womanizer, a doctor, a vampire, whatever, but he has to have one quality that draws me in and that's an innocence in his awakening to his feelings for Bella. I read and wait and read and wait for his breaking point, his epiphany or his acceptance of who he is or what his feelings mean. And if that's set in a lemony hot story, well the world is good! Lol! THAT'S what this story is all about!!!

Author's Summary: The Goal: Lose 70lbs. The Prize: One steamy night with her personal trainer. When overweight Bella is left by her husband, she is determined to lose weight with the help of Edward Masen. What starts off as payback ends up as so much more

Why tg10781 loves it:

It's a wonderful and realistic story! (and I wish I could type more about it - but I'm off to have surgery so I cant) :( Just check it out - I promise you wont be disappointed!!

Author's Summary: When Edward pays for a night of harmless fun, he didn't expect to get the purchase of a lifetime. Will his nights in Seattle change his whole life in Chicago? Full length story for the second place winner in the Slash/Backslash Contest. Rated M. J/E.

Why shackle_me loves it:

I'm just gonna throw this out there: I love reading boy/boy slash. LOVE it. I don't know why, but I do. That being said, I've really kind of limited myself to one-shot stories. I never thought I would be interested in a multi-chapter slash fic. But I gotta say, M & A has certainly got me hooked!

Some background on the story: Jasper (aka Escortsper) is a gay man working as a highly paid escort, but not so long ago he was living on the streets and working as a hooker. Edward (aka Mergerward) is a successful businessman who has yet to come out of the closet. Emmett is the only one who knows Edward is gay and he suggests Denali's Escorts as a way for Edward to relieve some tension while he's traveling to Seattle for business.

Edward's first foray into the world of escorts finds him paired up with Jake. Yeah, you'd think that an Edward/Jake pairing might not be so hot, right? Wrong! It doesn't matter who the pairing is, the boysexin is always panty-dropping HOT!

*stares off dreamily* Umm, what was I saying? Oh, right...Edward, escorts, boysexin...*sigh*

Anyway, Edward first notices Jasper in the bar of the hotel where he's waiting to meet Jake for an evening of hot boy-on-boy loving, and of course, he's immediately drawn to Jasper. Unfortunately, Jasper's "boyfriend" shows up before Edward can work up the nerve to talk to him. So, imagine his surprise when he sees Jasper's picture on the Denali Escorts web site and realizes that he can have Jasper...at least for a night.

But, what begins as one night quickly morphs into something much bigger and Edward becomes one of Jasper's regular customers. It's easy to see that these two are equally drawn to each other, but they are both hesitant to pursue anything more - both for very different reasons.

I love the way the authors write these characters. Touchstone67 writes Jasper and Domward's Mistress writes Edward. And they are so REAL. Jasper doesn't apologize for what he is - he's done what he had to do to survive his childhood and living on the streets. He's rough around the edges, and I like that. He's protective of those he cares about, like Riley. And he likes to fuck. A lot. There's no other way to put it. And I like that, too!

Edward, on the other hand, is very much in turmoil. He is constantly struggling with the fact that he's gay, but closeted. He doesn't have a problem with being gay, just that he feels like he can't be himself except when he's with Jasper. He feels that coming out would ruin his career and disappoint his father. His struggle is very true to life IMO and his pain is damn near palpable, especially after he meets Jasper.

There are some other players you should know about as well. There's Peter, the businessman that becomes Jasper's first "regular". I don't mind Peter, but I always feel like Jasper is cheating on Edward when he's with Peter because he does care for Peter. I mean, I know that Jasper is doing his job and all, but my heart hurts sometimes when Jasper is with Peter because you just know there's somethind deeper, even if it's not as strong as what he feels for Edward.

Then there's Spencer. I don't like Spencer. You won't like Spencer. He's evil and manipulative and makes me want to commit felonies. And that tells me that the authors are doing a good job!

Finally...I should warn you...the boysexin in this fic is like no other. If it's uber-hot, insanely graphic boysexin you're looking for, you're in the right place! (Hell yes!) Seriously...there's not a lemon in this story that hasn't gotten me all hot and bothered. I think that's why I love it so much. These girls are NOT shy about saying exactly what's happening in a scene. Forget cookie-cutter lovey dovey making love. This is straight up fucking for the most part. Hot, wild, fucking-like-animals fucking. And I love it!

JMC: Loner by Nilla79

Author's Summary: Edward Cullen was a loner, an outcast. He clearly hated everybody, including himself. He was not a nice person. So, why was I so drawn to him? And why did I get the crazy feeling he felt the same way?.

Why JMC loves it:

Honestly, what's not to love about this fic? I started Loner a couple months back because I'd gotten on this high school Bella and Edward kicker. *shrugs* I read the summary, and instantly became intrigued. I wanted to know what happened to this particular Edward to lead him down a path of anger and self-destruction. It took only the first page to hook me.

To keep away from spoiler alerts, I'll only say that Edward's life was not a pretty one. In fact, there were situations he'd lived through that will leave your mouth agape, tears spilling down your cheeks and your heart feeling serrated. The story, it's tragic yet beautiful. Wusspervs, I'll warn you, this is an angsty morsel.

As much as it hurts to read parts - I'm a masochist with the angst - the plot, the words, everything about the story draws you in to the point you can't let go. Nilla79 has written the fic so amazingly, you can't help but feel and live what the characters are. You want to know what happens next, and you want to be a part of that world because it feels so real to you. That's how good she is at portraying the characterizations and the plot and development of the story.

You watch this transition Edward makes throughout the fic, going from being a "loner" to feeling something for someone - Bella. He grows so much emotionally as well as mentally. She's found a way through the walls and pain to make him feel something other than the darkness he's lived with for so long. She becomes his anchor, his reason to beat the past, whether he wanted it to happen initially or not. But we all know, in typical Bella and Edward fashion, no matter how hard one of them tries to fight it, they can't fight fate... and they are fated.

There's something so special about this story, I can't even put it into words. I can only say that if you aren't reading it, you are truly missing out on a beautiful piece of work.

Hayboo05: We Don't Break, We Bend by LyricalKris

Author's Summary: When the man who's supposed to love them hurts them, and the people who are supposed to save them won't listen, it falls on their shoulders to not just survive, but save each other.

Why hayboo05 loves it:

It amazes me that this story only has 589 reviews. It's incrediable on so many levels. I had a hard time writing this review, not because I couldn't think of tons of wonderful things to say about it, but because it's just too good for my words.

It's a story that stands by itself. It doesn't need recs or suggestions. It simply needs to be read.

BUT since this is a reccing site...I suppose I should tell ya why I'm reccing it. ;)

This story is angsty. I mean...I cried a couple times...angsty. It's also complete so you don't have to wait for updates. It's a short read due to the fact that the chapters are a bit on the shorter side but also because you can't stop reading it once you've started!

To the outside world, James Whitlock looks like a wonderful father, but those who live inside his house know the truth. Jasper is James' real son. After a horrible accident Jasper is taken in by his father. Sadly, James' intentions are not as heroic or fatherly as he would like people to think. After two years of beatings and verbal abuse, Jasper is about ready to just give up...

Enter Edward and Bella. Through tragic events of their own, they end up foster children in the Whitlock residence. They save Jasper. Jasper saves them. The Cullen's save them all.

They become friends with Alice and Emmett Cullen. They're invited over often and they see how it's supposed to be. No beatings, yelling, berating words. Just family.

Jasper fights with himself though about the feelings he has for Alice. He doesn't see himself or the life he leads as someone or something that he wants her around. Edward has similar thoughts about Bella but to all three of them the situation is bigger than they are.

In the end, with the help of the Cullens, they break free from the man that has darkened every day since they arrived to live with him.

Through this story all I could think about was how strong these characters were even though to themselves they seemed anything but. LyricalKris writes with such emotion that you can't help but feel it too. I really liked seeing POV's from each character. It really lets you see how differently they view things and what they think about certain situations. It's honestly one of my favorite parts of the story.

The angst factor is high but don't let that keep you from reading this story. At the end of it, all you see is strength, courage, faith, friends, and love.

Bbebar: What Are The Chances by danieller123

Author's Summary: Seeing past the dirt. True beauty inside and out. Routines undone. Edward and Bella. This is life.

Why Bbebar loves it:

I chose to rec this story even though I knew it would be hard to convey the things about it which make it so special. Let me begin by saying that you haven't read another fic like this one. It is utterly unique and original. As danieller123 tells us before every update, "I am trying something new. These entries are short on purpose. Updates daily. Like pieces to a puzzle. All in Edward's POV."

Short entries mean really short. Chapter 1 is 99 words; I counted them. The pictures that danieller123 is able to paint, and the emotions she is able to convey in those handful of words is astounding.

Everyday she updates. It's like a little present in your inbox. Just like pieces of a puzzle that gradually add to the overall picture. It's like the best form of foreplay. A little kiss here, a carress there...all leading up to something you know is pretty incredible.

This is what we know so far. Edward is already an adult when the story begins. Bella is a 10 year old child. Edwards meets Bella on his daily jogs past her house. Something about her captivates him. (Not in any sexual way, don't worry) It is clear that Bella is not well taken care of. One day, as Edward jogs past Bella's house, she is not on her porch to wave to him as always. He finds her, and she has been badly abused. He takes her and runs away. They set up a new life where Edward claims to be her older brother. Each successive update fast forwards several years to where Bella is now seventeen. We know that her feelings for Edward have grown. However, Edward has continued to maintain an appropriate relationship between them.

As I write this review, WaTC has 11 chapters. It will take you maybe 15 minutes to read them all. And when you do, you will be left wanting more. You will be left waiting for that next puzzle piece to appear in your mailbox. You will be left amazed at how danieller123 has managed to create something unlike anything you've ever read. You will be left wondering how so few words can say so much.

Nothing I write here will do this story justice. I encourge you to experience this story for yourself. And it is an experience, something to be savored in small bites like fine chocolate. This is one indulgence you won't regret.

Sophz456: Raw and Rosy by TuesdayMidnight

Author's Summary: Jasper Hale hates his high school rival Edward Cullen with a passion. What happens when Jasper discovers Edward's little secret? Spank!Fic. AH/AU/OOC. Rated M. Contains mature content.

Why Sophz456 loves it:

Well, I seem to be going through a slash phase right now, going by the fact my last rec was also a slash fic, but hey ho. I love reading a bit of boy lovin’!

I’m not entirely sure how I found this fic originally, but I’m going to guess it was through one of the ladies on Twitter since it’s talked about a LOT over there. When I first read the summary, I was curious, of course, but sort of hesitant about actually reading the full story. It wasn’t anything against TuesdayMidnight (I’ve read most of her fics and absolutely adore them), but after reading stories like The Submissive/The Dominant, The Forbidden Room, etc., I doubted anything could really live up to my expectations.

Boy, was I wrong.

The story starts off with Jasper being a bit of an ass (no pun intended) to his ‘nemisis’ Edward, and the two end up almost fighting on the ground until the principal comes over and separates them. Again. They try and act all friendly so they don’t get in deep shit, but then Jasper slaps Edward’s ass as a joke and holy fuck, you know where it’s gonna go from there:

No, it was when I gave him the slightly-harder-than-friendly pat on his ass that he reacted so strangely.

Then, I finally realized it.

Edward Cullen liked to be spanked.

Oh, this was too good to pass up.

I was hooked from that moment on.

The story may not be hugely long at the moment, but the 14 chapters that are up are purely amazing and will leave you dying for more. It’s not your typical spank or slash fic – it has real meaning at the heart of it and isn’t pure PWP (which you’d kind of expect from a spank!fic). It’s also not one of your typical ‘finding yourself in high school and struggling with your sexuality’ kind of fics either – Jasper is well aware of his sexuality, and there’s no true ‘soul searching’ as such, which is good, because I find that always gets really tedious after a while.

I don’t have enough words to describe how truly brilliant this fic is, and I urge you to try it for yourself, even if you’re not a huge slash fan. It’s well worth it, believe me.

Hayboo05: Dead On My Feet by Cesca Marie

Author's Summary: Recovering from a serious illness, Edward knows what it is to be invisible but obvious to everyone around him. Bella, who has watched a loved one die of protracted illness, understands the tightrope-act of life in an unpredictable body. Alienated by his disease, Edward finds a friend in Forks' newest resident. The only problem is that she sees far more than anyone else does – including the things he doesn't want seen.

Why hayboo05 loves it:

Dead On My Feet owned me from the very first chapter. Between the curiosity you have about Edward's illness and the dry and somewhat morbid humor, it's hard to stop reading until you run out of chapters!

Bella is also an puzzle that has pieces missing all over the place. The rate at which you find the pieces of both puzzles is realistic though. At first glance you might think Bella is too hard on Edward but when you read further into the story you see that it's what Edward needs to become a whole person again. To be healthy in every way.

I also really enjoy Alice and Emmett in this story. Alice is younger but she's been through so much right along with Edward that at times, you forget that she's only fifteen. That is until Edward says something insensitive...then you're quickly reminded that Alice is a fragile teen. Emmett brings a lot of humor to this story as usual. He's the protective big brother that he does so well! It's actually quite funny when Em and Edward try and keep Alice from growing up..

I really like that it's not always Edward and Bella together, though, that is the best part. You get to see them separate and then you see how they change when they're together. The contrast is quite different and it just sets in stone that they are exactly what the other needs.

The most interesting part of this story is all the stuff you learn about cancer and it's effects. Not only on the person that has/had it but his or her family as well. You get to see it from both sides of the road and that is part of the intrigue. You want to learn more about every single aspect of this story.

I could seriously spend all day talking about why I love Cancerward is his Bella but instead...why don't you go read it for yourself! You won't regret it!!

Bbebar: Going Down? by TexasKatherine

Author's Summary: Bella Swan is a rising star in her new company, but ascending the corporate ladder is not exactly easy when you are trapped in an elevator. Rated M for language, lemons & flagrant use of snark.

Why Bbebar loves it:

What don't I love about this story!?!? A few days ago, I was perusing my list of to-read fics. If you're anything like me, your to-read list is a mile long and often overwhelming. While scrolling through, I saw a story with the title, Going Down? Hmmm I thought; that sounds promising! So, based on the title alone, I dove in.

This is where I'd like to take a moment to express my undying love and gratitude to whichever h00r out there rec'd this fic to me. I don't remember who it was or even how long this story has been on my list, but I thank you and TexasKatherine for bringing this awesomeness into my life.

Going Down? is the kind of story, that while only four chapters in, you know is going to be epic. I'm talking MoBS epic, people. That's right...you heard me. TexasKatherine has written some of the funniest lines and wittiest characters I've ever read.

The story begins with Bella, who is on her way to work and determined to have a good day. She doesn't even let the drink thief at Starbucks, or the subsequent coffee incident turned youtube video bring her down! After working a full day, she prepares to leave like always. However, on this night, the elevator door opens and SHAZAM! Cue one gorgeous man by the name of Edward. Bellla is immediately tongue tied and only manages to squeak out, ""Are you going down on me? WITH me!" You can see where this is going right?

Just let me say...there is no slow burn here! You're not going to have to wait 20 chapters before Edward and Bella admit to their feelings and finally do the deed. In fact, how do secksie times that involve an elevator, a sports car, and a voice activated vibrator sound? Pretty effing fantastic, right?! That's what I thought.

But wait; there's a twist! Bella finds out, post bump and grind, that Edward has just been hired on as her new assistant. Hijinks ensue, but somehow Edward manages to convince her she's not going to be sent to prison. Good thing because these two literally cannot stay away from each other.

I'm exicted to find out where this story is going. Will Bella and Edward be able to continue working together and maintain a relationship? How long will they be able to keep it a secret from their co-workers? Will their instant chemistry be enough to devopment into something deeper? Will Bella succeed in reprograming her vibrator? Inquiring minds need to know!

Well, I for one am going to take it as it comes, because as Bella says to Edward, "I think... for once in my life I'm going to sit back and enjoy the ride." And I have no doubt that TexasKatherine will have me laughing the entire time.

shackle_me: Chancing Fate by JMCullen09

Photobucket

Chancing Fate by JMCullen09

Author Summary: After relocating to Forks with her parents to take ownership of the family store, Bella Swan meets an angry Edward Cullen - who happens to work at her parent's store, but not by choice. Both have secrets and pain. Is their meeting coincidence or fate? OOC

Why shackle_me loves it:
This was not the story I originally planned to rec this week. I was actually flip-flopping between two other stories and I thought I had figured out which one I was doing. That is, until I read Jess' latest update of Chancing Fate. Guh! Suddenly, I couldn't remember the other stories I had even planned to rec! Ok, so I'm mostly joking about that last part...those stories will just be recced later.

I'm not even sure where to start with this rec. It's no secret that I LOVE Jess and her stories. All of them. But there's something about this one that leaves me literally aching for more.

Bella has moved to Forks with her parents, who are taking over management of Higgenbotham's, a grocery store left to them by an uncle. We soon learn that it was almost a necessity that they take over the store, as Bella has recently received a heart transplant and her medical bills have basically wiped out the family's savings. Bella is very self-concious about her scar from the transplant, so she wears turtlenecks most of the time. But underneath her self-conciousness, Bella is a feisty one! Somewhat naive in my opinion, but feisty nonetheless!

Bella first meets Edward in Biology and he's less then welcoming. In fact, he's downright rude. Unfortunately for her, he's also an employee at Higgenbotham's, though clearly not by choice. Their first encounter is beyond awkward - Bella investigates some noises in a utility closet and finds Edward in a rather compromising position with Tanya. Yeah, I know. *Blech*

Edward (aka Intenseward) is VERY angry. And VERY volatile. And yet he's so.freakin.hot. It's insane. I mean, damn...you can almost FEEL the anger rolling off of him when you read EPOV! That's how good Jess is at conveying what her characters are feeling. The thing is, Edward doesn't WANT to feel. He wants to be numb. (The reasons behind his anger haven't completely been revealed yet, but there's a story there and I'm dying to know what it is!) And unfortunately, Bella makes him feel all kinds of things...lust, anger, lust, jealousy...did I mention lust? ;-)

The UST in this fic is OFF THE CHARTS. Bella and Edward are obviously insanely attracted to each other, though they are both fighting valiantly against it. Edward is rude and mean and Bella doesn't let him get away with it. And defiant Bella seems to be quite the turn-on for Edward. UNF! He has a habit of backing her into shelves, walls, etc. and every time he does, I swear I'm about to spontaneously combust! Damn, I think I need to reread chapter 8...hallway...kissing...big...wait, what? What was I talking about? *fanning self*

Will Edward be able to stay away from Bella? Is he willing to FEEL again? Will Bella let him in? What about her scars? What about his? Do either of them even have a choice in the matter? Fate is a funny thing sometimes!

I should also note that Jess has a unique way of incorporating members of the Volturi into her stories. I won't tell you who it is or how she does it in this one, but just know that she does!

Seriously...if you're not reading Chancing Fate, you're missing out! I'm not reccing this just because I'm such a fangirl when it comes to Jess. I'm reccing it because it's THAT good. Trust me, you won't be sorry!

tg10781: Stigmata Tomato by BellaFlan

Author's Summary: Alert the Darwin Awards! Bella Swan, depressed and demented, nearly dies trying to kill herself & is shipped to Forks WA. Watch her update her facebook status and fall in love. WARNING: MA, very dark comedy. OOC w/ nod to canon , E/B some Jake , AH

Why tg10781 loves it:

BellaFlan is a BRILLIANT woman! She seamlessly combines tear inducing angst with snort inducing humor.

It’s the best of both worlds! I’m well known for being a bit ADD when it comes to reading. I crave something that has just enough angst to keep me interested and just enough humor to keep me smiling. That’s exactly what Stigmata Tomato has.

BellaFlan has an amazing ability to take you deep within the mind of someone suffering from different types of issues, and with Stigmata Tomato she doesn’t disappoint.

Each chapter begins with Bella updating her Facebook status. They range from “Killing myself” to “Engaging in Buttsecks”.

Stigmata Tomato is only 6 chapters in so far, but those 6 chapter PWN me!

And really how couldn’t it with lines like these: “Only I could manage to slip and fall onto a dull knife, effectively slicing through my arm. Of course, my drama-queen of a mother refused to listen to the voice of reason. It was just an accident. What kind of idiot would commit suicide by both cutting her arm open and giving herself a concussion?” AND “"You're Sex-hair's father!" I screamed. "Pardon me?" "Sex-hair! You know, Abercrombie swagger, bronze fuck-me hair and gorgeous as all fuck...what's his name?"”

So go read it! NOW!

Sorry… “"They gave me Ativan," I explained, "and now I have discharge."” ;)

Bbebar: For How Long by Hayboo05

Official Summary: Sometimes the road you're on isn't the road that leads you to where you're supposed to be. Demetri controls Bella. A Cullen will help her make a new life. It can be that easy...right? BxE

Why Bbebar loves it:

Before I get to why I love this story, I'd like to get some things out of the way first. Yes, Rach (hayboo) is my twifey. I love her. I consider her to be a friend even though we've never met. However, none of these things is the reason why I'm rec'ing For How Long. I chose this fic for one reason only; it's amazing.

If you're reading Rach's other fic, At the Hip, then you're already familiar with how talented she is. She writes straight from her heart, and that honesty translates into her stories and characters. She makes you feel things, which in turn makes you invested.

I love For How Long because it is heartfelt, heartbreaking, honest, and hopeful all at the same time. The story revolves around Bella, who is married to her abusive husband, Demetri. Bella was raised in a privileged world where appearances were often important. We soon realize that just because things looked perfect from the outside doesn't mean they were perfect on the inside.

After living in an abusive marriage, Bella feels trapped and doesn't believe she has anywhere to go for help. Through a series of events, she meets Edward, who is a doctor. They have an instant connection. It still remains to be seen how this will develop as Rach is in the beginning of telling this powerful story. For How Long currently has four chapters; go read them. This is one journey you're not going to want to miss.

JMC: On My Own by littleclarestar

Photobucket

On My Own by littleclarestar

Author Summary: Reluctantly running the family house and estate on an island off the West Coast of Scotland, having inadvertently run it towards bankruptcy, ex Soldier Edward Cullen has help forced upon him by the bank, in the shape of one I Swan.

Why JMC loves it:
Despite the fact that it's amazingly well written, this story has a completely different type of Edward. This was the very first Kiltward fic I had ever read. I loved the fact that he was Scottish born, which is something entirely unique in itself.

This Edward is a strong character, but he has many flaws, which makes him more realistic. I love that he isn't perfect, because that's something we can relate to. When you have a character that is too perfect, the intrigue in them lacks. You get bored. He's sexy, he's smart, he's loving, he can be a total ass, but you love the complete package.

Bella's characterization is unique too. I love that littleclarestar makes her independent and strong. Those qualities are something a lot of Bella's don't have. She's fierce, and she's not afraid to hold her own against Edward. She's bound and determined that whatever she may feel toward him, she's going to do the job she was sent to do regardless.

Though the characterizations are so completely different from anything I've read prior, littleclarestar stays true to the connection SM's Bella and Edward share. They both try to fight it, though, given the circumstances they're under (Bella works for the bank that financed his home, so the fate of his estate lies in her hands), but it's undeniable. It's fate.

I can't stress enough how much you all should be reading this fic. It makes you feel so many emotions, but there's no doubt that once you start it, you become hooked. It's definitely one of my favorites.

Hayboo05: The Family Business by SuzsPetals

 The Family Business by SuzsPetals

Author's Summary: Edward Cullen meets the girl of his dreams but keeps her at arm’s length due to his complicated, dangerous family life. When cruel irony brings them together again, he’s forced to make a devastating choice: Save her from a fate worse than death or save her from the family business. Definitely AU (Alternate Universe) It’s not for the kiddies.

Why Hayboo05 loves it: I LOVE this story because it's different while still being familiar. It's a completely different twist on Twilight and it's characters. The humor is fantastic and the details are wonderful. There are some pretty great lemons too but it doesn't loose the plot at all. If anything, every single aspect of this story just adds to its uniqueness. Suzs does an amazing job at keeping you interested and I'm so glad I started reading this story. It's definitely going down as one of my faves!

Bbebar: McFearless by TeamBella23

Author's Summary: "This is all wrong, it even feels wrong but fuck, it feels good." A night of firsts for Edward and Jasper… Written for the Slash Backslash 2.0 Contest. AH/AU Rated M.

Why Bbebar loves it:
I never realized rec'ing a fic for the first time would come with such pressure! Sure, I rec them all the time on twitter, but somehow writing it all down and posting to a blog... Well, it seems so official. There are so many amazing stories out there, how do you pick just one?

I decided for my first official rec to choose a story that completely owned me when I read it, as well as left me wanting more. So yes, as you can see, not only am I rec'ing a O/S, but a slash O/S at that! I know, I know...You're sitting there thinking out of all the fics to choose from, why did I pick a slash O/S? Well, since you asked... Those of you who follow me on twitter may have noticed my somewhat recent introduction into the world of slash, or boysexin, as I refer to it. Let's just say it was love at first read! (Who knew, right??)

One day, my lovely twitter bb, UNF4Rob, linked me McFearless, explaining that it must be read right away. Little did she realize, she had me at boysexin. (See?? I'm addicted!) I should tell you that prior to this, I had never read any of TeamBella23's fics. (Shameful I know!!) Therefore, I had no idea what to expect. I honestly can't believe what I was missing. I now refer to McFearless as my gateway drugfic to all things TeamBella23. (Case in point: I am now reading Aha Shake, Four Kicks, and Closer... soon to be followed by California Waiting and Revelry) This is why I have chosen McFearless for my first rec.

Not only will it demonstrate the brilliance of its author, but it will lead you right to her other amazing stories as well. McFearless is an Edward/Jasper fic. It's all kinds of sexy and literally laugh out loud hilarious. Those of you familar with my boysexin motto, "Two Peens Are Better Than One," will not be disappointed. Those of you who have not yet branched out into the slash ff world, I urge you to give McFearless a try. If you're like me, you'll be surprised at how enjoyable boysexin is; I'm talking UNF. And if you find yourself wishing McFearless hadn't ended quite so soon, well... you're in luck! TeamBella23 has plans to expand it into a longer story. Now, that's my idea of boysexin heaven.

By the way, I interviewed TeamBella23 earlier this week. Please give it a read; she's rocks hard. You can follow TeamBella23 on twitter @Teamsmella23

JMC: The Education of Professor Cullen by sheviking

Author's Summary: College professor Edward Cullen is thoroughly annoyed by his student Ms. Swan. Everything about her bothers him, and he longs for the semester to be over. But what happens when he meets her one night when they aren't in school? Lemons and naughty language.

Why JMC loves it:
This isn't your typical Bella and Edward fic, which is the biggest reason it caught my interest. Edward is a professor, Bella's professor, who is quite inexperienced in many ways, especially sexually. Bella, on the other hand, is experienced in all the ways Edward isn't... except emotionally. Learning to open their hearts and let someone in, to become attached, it's something neither anticipated. To me, it's about self-discovery and learning to care deeply for someone while allowing them to care about you. There's so much vulnerability in the characters, and that makes it realistic.

I love the naivety in Edward. He has an innocence about him that is endearing, comical and he makes you adore him from the very beginning. I love how sheviking interweaves his innocence, yet shows how mature and intellectual he is. Bella is spunky, attempts to be guarded, but she's sensitive in ways even she doesn't understand. And the way the two characters develop together, the way they support and teach each other, you can't help but cheer them on. They balance one another amazingly.

The lemons are fantastic, but it's so much more than that. The plot is beautifully crafted, and you can't help but fall in love with the story and its characters. I, for one, am very thankful I stumbled upon this fic.

shackle_me: The Art of Breaking by jdbeaner

Author's Summary: They were so different. Different goals, different friends, different worlds. Maybe even different gods... if he even believed in God. She didn't know. What she did know was that she wanted him... badly.

Shackle_me's Summary: Biblella and Badassward. 'Nuff said!

Why shackle-me loves it:

I love this fic because I love Bean! Well, that's not true. I DO love the Beaner, but I love this fic because it's a unique premise and Beaner is an excellent writer. This is her second fic, and the progress she's made as a writer is AMAZING. I really can't say enough about her or her writing!

In this story, Bella is attending a bible college called Northern University. She meets Edward when he stops to help her after she gets a flat tire on her way to a wedding reception. Little does she know that Edward (along with Alice and Jasper) is actually part of the catering crew at the same wedding reception. He calls her Pollyanna. She calls him jackass. Sparks fly.

Badassward assumes that Biblella is a 'good girl' because she attends Bible college. But I think Biblella is itching to break out of her shell and Badassward is just the man to help her do it. Her uber-religious, overprotective parents would like nothing more than for Bella to date good Christian boy Mike Newton, but Bella is having none of that. What happens when Biblella defies her parents and goes for it with Badassward? What happens when the bible college finds out what Badassward and Biblella have been up to?

It's only 4 chapters in, but I find myself impatiently waiting for Beaner to update. (You hear that, Bean??) Seriously, do yourself a favor and go read The Art of Breaking and make sure you leave Beaner some love! She is truly one of this fandom's best-kept secrets!

tg10781: If Only You Knew by ChiTwiGal

Author's Summary: Bella is a small town girl living in the big city. She will face life changing decisions. Will she choose wisely? If she chooses wrong, will she still be able to find love, happiness and peace? Yes, No, Maybe? A/H

Tg10781's Summary: Bella is a small town girl living in a big city. What lessons will she learn and what mistakes will she make? How do we make the right choice when we didn’t even know we had one?

Why tg10781 loves it:

Chitwigal is a wonderful woman and a terrific writer. IYOK is a very true to life type story. As much as we all want an instant connection and for all things to fall into place, those type of things just don't happen in real life.

I have the pleasure of being on the prereading team for this story, so I know a bit about what is to come. I promise that If You Only Knew will not disappoint.

Sophz456: How to Turn a Straight Guy Gay by Lou-La

Author's Summary: "My name is Jasper Whitlock, and I teach straight boys the pleasure of c*ck." EdxJas, obviously slash. Lemons, naughty words, the usual. M!

Why Sophz456 loves it:

I can’t actually remember how I came across this fic originally, but I am SO fucking glad I did, and I think you will be too.

I’m a fan of most things slash, especially Jasper and Edward slash, and when I read the title and summary for this fic, I automatically wanted to read it. It was so different to what I usually came across, and I had nothing else to do (except sleep), so thought “What the heck?”, and was hooked from chapter one.

Jasper starts off a little douche-y, I have to admit, but it’s justified, if you ask me. He’s gay, but he isn’t attracted to gay men. Weird, right? Instead, the only thing that really gets him off is going after straight men. He starts off as their friend, worms his way in, and then, quite literally fucks them and leaves them.

It sounds kinda shitty, I know, but Jasper’s likable from the get go, and his character’s seriously well developed, so when he meets his next target, Edward… Let’s just say sparks fly.

I could go on and on about this fic for ages, but I don’t want to spoil it for you all – I want you to find out for yourselves. It’s worth it, I promise.

So, if you’re a fan of slash, romance, drama or even just smut, this is a fic for you. It’s AMAZING.

Interview: TeamBella23 by Bbebar

It was only recently that I was introduced to TeamBella23's stories. In fact, the very first thing I read of hers was McFearless. For those of you who don't know, McFearless is a O/S. But, that was enough to know I wanted more. I was immediately addicted, started reading my way through her other stories, and began stalking her on twitter (Just Kidding....well, sort of). When Jess (JMC) so kindly invited me to be a part of this blog, she mentioned including author interviews.

Immediately, I knew I HAD to interview TeamBella23. From what I could already tell, she had a wicked sense of humor and a huge talent for story telling. I was intrigued. I needed to know more. Thankfully, she agreed (even though this is my first ever author interview), and this is the result.

1. I know the answer to this, but for those out there who don't, let's just get this out of the way: Team Edward or Team Jacob?

Hmmm… Team Edward or Team Jacob? I'm Team Bella and Team Rob. Edward is a complete pussy in the book and Jake is annoying as fuck. I like Rob, I like FanFiction "wards" nuff said.

2. How did you come to discover the world of fanfiction? What made you decide to start writing it?

I stumbled upon FFN on accident actually. I Googled 'Twilight outtakes' and a link for a honeymoon o/s came up. I clicked it and it was sexy as fuck…. The husband was sleeping, I was reading smut on my phone. Been hooked on FanFiction since the spot between my legs began to tingle. The reason I decided to write was because after my first taste of smutty goodness I found out there were entire stories… I was intrigued. After a while it was completely apparent that most fics are the same. The same plots with different words. I wanted a badass Edward; one that smokes and fucks and loves profoundly. I was sick of Bella being a whiny twat… insert Closerward (Fuckward) and Smella. From there my mind went into over drive…

3. All of your fics are so different. How do your ideas come to you?

I thought about writing for a while, I think I had just finished Wide Awake and was totally disenchanted with the end. I was in the shower, thinking… if I were to write what would I write? I wanted it to be epic, different… breaking the rules. The car accident scene in Closer was what I was given from the writing Gods. I wrote it right away and the rest gushed. I knew I wouldn't let it come easy for Closerward and Smella. Love isn't simple, its hard and you have to fight. Revelry; Revelry is entirely special to me. I had a friend in high school who was a cutter. I read lots of fics where Edward does coke but by some ungodly miracle he is cured and they move on like nothing happened. Revelry was not supposed to be the angst bucket it has turned out to be but my mind works in strange ways. Same for Aha Shake, Four Kicks and McFearless… I don't know, it just comes to me. Milk, well that is just some psycho fucking shit!

4. Prior to writing fanfiction, did you write? If so, what?

I didn't write prior to FanFiction. I think the beginning and the first draft of Closer, if you were unlucky enough to read it, makes that very apparent. Closer was some kind of fuckery let me tell you… gah, don't remind me. Next….

5. You are currently writing several fics all at the same time. Do you find this difficult or does it come naturally?

I am actually writing four different fics right now; Revelry, Aha Shake, Four Kicks and McFearless. Not to mention the contests and shit like that I insist on writing for. It's hard, difficult but manageable. Jaime, my beta, is a fucking Godsend. Without her I would be a mess… I enjoy it though.

6. Do you have a preference between writing angst heavy fics like Revelry or lighter comedic material like Aha Shake? Do you have a preference between AH or AU?

This is a tough one, I'm not sure if I have a preference. I think I have figured out a happy medium. Revelry is fucking torture to write… I swear I am the biggest sissy while I write that shit. I cry, almost every time I do but once the chapter is done and sent to Jaime it flips off and I can become witty enough to write Aha Shake or creative enough to write Four Kicks. McFearless… that came from being frustrated with slash fics. I mean, seriously…. Why do they always fall in love and become all "gay' in every story? (with the exception of a few… cough… Uncomfortable… cough … Raw and Rosy … cough … How to turn a Gay Man Straight.) I prefer to read all human. Vampire fics are strange… I've only read one vampire fic where Edward drinks blood and has sex. I plan to change that with Four Kicks, which was a dare to write by my twitter followers by the way. So was McFearless for that matter.

7. So as you know, I was introduced to your work through McFearless, which is your slash O/S. What was your experience writing slash? When do you anticipate starting on the full length version?

McFearless; a complete accident and freak of nature. A reader and twitter follower, hearbynite, challenged me to write a slash. I wrote it, hated it but was encouraged to enter it into The Backslash 2.0 contest. Go fucking figure its one of my most successful stories. Authors I drool over fucking read and reviewed, not to mention all of my faithful followers who never even read a slash loved it. I am going to continue McFearless as soon as the contest is over, it may not be a full length fic but a definite novella. So expect that in the next month or so… *facepalm*

8. As most people know, the first fic you wrote was Closer. You've told me more than once that you have a love/hate relationship with Closer. Can you explain why this is? Also, if you could change anything about Closer, would you? If yes, then what?

Ugh, Closer; Pièce de résistance. I would change a lot about Closer…. People love it but let me fucking tell you, I got my ass chewed and spit the fuck out over it. I am proud I stuck to my guns and wrote the ending the way I did. I love Closer and everything it stands for… I just hate the way the first half is written. It was my first, and it shows. I hate the way I wrote it and hate the way I described some of the characters. I hate that I had Edward call Bella, Isabella… even if it was only once. I don't know, I love Closer and I am grateful for it. I just don't want anyone reading it and making up their mind about me because of it. I have improved so much…. My biggest regret about Closer/CW… one word, Goochie. I wish I never wrote Goochie into the fic. I wasn't going to but my readers begged for a baby. Closer/CW are huge accomplishments for me and put my name out there so to say, I like to think it sort of changes the way people look at Bella and Edward and showed people that not all fics are fucking cupcakes and sweet nothings. So yeah, I love and hate it. (who the fuck says these things about their own fic?)

9. Can you give me the first word that comes to mind for each one of your fics?

The first word that comes to my mind about all of my fics? Well shit… ummm…ok. Closer; indecent. California Waiting; stimulating. Revelry; torment. Aha Shake; amusing. Four Kicks; innovative. McFearless; inappropriate. Milk; (can't forget Milk) Obsessed.

10. You recently passed 1,000 reviews on yet another one of your fics, Revelry. How does it make you feel to know that so many people appreciate and love your work?

I remember when both Closer and California Waiting passed 1000 reviews. I was so thrilled, I think my husband got double humped those nights. Revelry just passed 1000 reviews this week and let me tell you, I am ecstatic. Revelry is a hard sell. I think a lot of my readers went into Revelry expecting Closer and CW and when they didn't get it shied away. I've had a group of Revelry readers, about 30 or 40 of hardcore readers who have stuck with me since day one but this last month the read count has sky rocketed. I'll tell anyone this any day, Revelry is precious to me. I love it, more so than Closer and CW. The fact that people are finally reading and recommending it like fucking crazy is great. I think it's a must read, and in my own opinion is better than the "Angsty" fics out there. I am proud of it and am not ashamed of stating that fact. Thanks everyone who is reading, rec'ing and reviewing. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.

11. I've seen authors say their fictional characters take on lives of their own and often alter their original plans for the story. Do you find your characters ever take over?

Ha! My characters live inside of my head. They tell me what to do and how to say it. Closerward, that fucker caused more drama on twitter than I care to speak about. So yeah, they create a life of their own. Writing is touch and go, you think you're going to write one thing and something different types itself out. That's just the name of the game.

The following questions were submittted by TeamBella23's readers via Twitter. Thank you to all you lovely ladies!

1. You have a deliciously creative edge to your writing; It is addicting. When did you start writing creatively? (via brkfastatbellas)

Well, Brkfastatbellas… this so called delicious and creative writing started with Closer. I didn't write before. I do hair, I am a cosmetologist in real life so it came out of frustration with the fandom and a craving for something edgy myself. I am glad people pair me with edgy writing, its exactly what I wanted.

2. You write so many different fics. Do you write on a schedule or simply when inspiration strikes? (via brkfastatbellas)

I don't necessarily have a writing schedule. I have this peculiar, unhealthy anxiety about updating. I have to update every week or I feel guilty. Its uncanny and I hate it but it controls me. I write everyday, I go in a order; Revelry, Aha Shake, Four Kicks and soon I will add McFearless to the end of that.

3. You write predominantly angst fiction. Do you have to be in an emo mood in order to write or do you just write? (via Kharisma2)

lol… no, I don't have to be in a "emo" mood to write but it helps. Think of my brain, now think of my brain having different switches. Each switch is labeled; Revelry, Aha Shake, Four Kicks…so on. I can switch them on and off and my mood will switch accordingly. Music helps, anger helps….

4. Music or Silence when you write? If you listen to music, what? (via Kharisma2)

Music, lots and lots of music. I love Lydia and Sia; that shit fuels me when writing the distressing stuff. I can't listen to it while I'm writing but I have to before I start and if I come up on a block, I will stop writing long enough to listen to a song and start again.

5. What are the hardest things to write (fights, sweetness, filler, lemons, etc.)? (via Kharisma2)

Lemons, for sure. It's hard to be creative and think of new ones each time. I've written a lot of sex and each is a challenge. I'm not into Dom/Sub stuff so that is out… you want each lemon to be stimulating and to depict dissimilar emotions; anger, love, heartless. Its challenging, I think my lemon for McFearless was the most testing.

6. What inspired you to name all your fics after Kings of Leon songs? (via UNF4Rob)

Choosing names for a fic is difficult. When the car accident scene from Closer came to me I automatically knew Closer would be the chapter song, or that it would help me write it. It was an easy choice, California Waiting was not so simple but I actually though of Revelry before I even started CW. I wanted to write Revelry while was still writing Closer…. Looking through KoL's song list CW was an easy choice once I saw it so I went with it. Its my thing I guess, makes choosing titles simple. I love KoL, they are the ultimate goodness so it's fitting. I am a total Sex on Fire hater because of it though…js. (just kidding) Naming them after KoL songs allows me to be original and unique.

7. How did Smella and Fuckward first come to you? (via UNF4Rob)

They came to me in the shower (that's what she said)

8. Was it hard to write about anxiety attacks being as you suffer from them as well? (via UNF4Rob)

It was hard, particularly hard. Anxiety attacks are no laughing matter. I have suffered Anxiety, Panic disorder for about five years. In fact it replaced my eating disorder, writing about it is a trigger. I was a mess after Closer, utterly. If you live with them you'll understand…. If you don't, consider yourself lucky. I think it allowed Closer to be believable… lots of authors write about panic attacks but sugar coat it, I didn't. I wrote about the grunting and the kicking. The urge to twist and bend and break. The super human strength and the exhaustion. Wonderful question UNF4Rob… really.

9. If you were Alice or Emmett, how would you feel about Bella and Edward's relationship in Closer/CW? (via MaryMABSAlice)

In CW? Betrayed. I think anyone dealing with them would feel the same way; Frustrated and tired. They were not easy to deal with and I didn't once write them to care about anyone else but themselves. I get slammed a lot for that. People have quit reading as a result of their selfness but I write truth. Love, it makes you selfish… detrimental love like they share, especially. Edward and Bella in Closer/CW care only for themselves for a while, until they realize they need support but even then its limited. So if I were Alice and Emmett I would feel deceived.

10. What would you suggest they do about their co-dependency and jealousy issues? (via MaryMABSAlice)

What would I suggest? That its sickening and disturbing but who wouldn't want to be loved by Edward so desperately? As fucked up as it is, its enchanting and desirable. To be so caught up and connected to someone like Closer's Bella and Edward are…. Fuck, could you imagine?

11. Is Revelry easier or harder to write than Closer/CW? Why or Why not? (via Hayboo05)

Revelry is much harder but that's only because they are completely different. I wasn't affected the same way by Closer/CW as I am by Revelry. Revelry is difficult and I am often left fatigued afterward.

12. What stories are you currently reading? (via Kharisma2)

What am I reading right now. It is no fucking secret that I am extremely selective about what I read. It's near impossible for me to find anything I can stick with… I'm not one for fluff or dark pasts. I hate secrets and virgins. Lol…. Right this moment I am reading a few fics. I'm completely owned by Twinned right now. How to Turn a Gay Man Straight, Raw and Rosy and Just Wait are what I yearn for. I just finished Goodnight, Noises Everywhere and We Used to be a Love Story. Grave Intentions, C-56 and Stampede of a Thousand Pulses are all fantastic but I literally fucking squeak when Twinned updates. (Readers of interview- "Oh my goodness, she doesn't list MoTU or EP?") yeah, no…. I haven't read them. Call me crazy, go ahead. My beta Jaime reads and summarizes each chapter for me. I cheat.

13. What is your favorite story of all time? What is your favorite author? (via Kharisma2)

Bookends is my very favorite fic in the entire fandom. It left me in the fetal position and I quit that shit twice before I finished. My favorite author is BellaExeQtnER; writer of Bookends. ss10 is a close second.

14. Finally, if you could say anything to your readers or would be readers, what would it be?

Wow, where do I begin? Thank you isn't adequate enough. My stories are what they are because you allow them to be, you defend me and encourage me. My readers push me to be better, I sometimes think I take this writing shit too seriously. This fandom, this fandom isn't real life but when I receive reviews and praise from you it makes it imperative. Its important to me that you care enough to take time away from your families and jobs to read something that I wrote…me! I mean who the fuck am I? You follow me on twitter and talk about me on your blogs… that's huge, that's a big deal. So yeah, I thank you…. from the bottom of my heart I thank you. I hope after meeting me (through twitter, etc.) that you grow to like me. I am stubborn and loud. I cuss a lot, I don't follow rules and am not the "it" thing but I do this for the ones who make me feel like I am. This is madness, it really is. Jaime, my other half. You earned yourself a vagina pinch and a head lock. Js.
